Volunteer with Girls On The Run

We couldn't do what we do without the help of our fantastic volunteers, so join us!

Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida serves more than 1,600 girls each year. With our small staff, we rely on volunteers to assist with many different aspects of our organization. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved at a variety of levels. Please take a look at our opportunities to determine what works best for you and your schedule. We look forward to using your time and talents to help inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident.

Running Buddy

Each season, Girls on the Run of Northeast Florida looks for runners to run in our Girls on the Run 5K as Running Buddies for our girls! Being a Running Buddy is a very rewarding way to help a young girl complete something amazing! The girls have trained for 10 weeks for the big 5K event - you will want to be part of the excitement! A Running Buddy serves as a "running mentor" for a GOTR participant at both her Practice 5K event and the 5K at the end of the season.

Register as a Running buddy for our End of Season 5k on April 29, 2017

GOTR Coach

Coaching a Girls on the Run site is one of the most rewarding volunteer experiences you can have! We at GOTR are always looking for healthy minded, positive and FUN individuals to lead a team of 20 girls. Parents, teachers, school administrators, college students, runners, non-runners, and people who are committed to developing and celebrating our youth make great coaches! Coaches serve as role models and mentors for girls who participate at more than 50 GOTR sites in Northeast Florida. At each site, 2 coaches (at least one female) deliver the GOTR curriculum, twice a week for an hour and 15 minutes. If you are passionate about the GOTR mission, committed to working with a group of girls throughout the 10 week season (fall and/or spring) and able to bring energy and joy to each practice, please join us!

This is a great position for those who don’t have time to coach, but still want to be involved in GOTR.
